•Launching human and animal cell bank, molecular biology department, microorganisms bank and plant bank; •Designing and setting up the Iranian biological resource network at www.ibrn.ir; •Membership in World Federation for Culture Collections (WFCC); •Holding the first national congress on biological and genetic resources; •Iran’s membership in International Committee on Systematics of Prokaryotes; •Establishing ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management System as well Receiving ISO certificate: •Signing five academic and International Memorandums of Understanding with the University of Valencia and Industrial Yeasts Collection of the University of Perugia, Italy and Botanical Center of Cagliari, Italy and also Gene Research Center University Tsucuba, Japan and Erasmus University Medical Center Rotterdam, Netherlands and plus 79 Memorandum of Understanding with Iran’s academic and research centers; •Negotiating and reclaiming about 7200 Iranian seed samples available in foreign banks which had been brought out of Iran (to Australia, Germany, Sweden, Thailand, Taiwan, China, Colombia and The Philippines) before and after Iranian Revolution.
